Fun Fact!
Here's a little fun fact for you. In book number five (Nicolae High) Judd and Vicki meet John and Mark who are one grade older than Judd. In book number seven (Busted) when Judd graduates, Mark and John are also graduating. The writers held them back a grade, or just didn't realize it. I guess that was a mistake in the book!

Tribulation Saints
This is written by a good friend of mine, who also studies the book of Revelation. Her blog is The Tribulation
"Tribulation Saints are those who are believers during the Tribulation. The Bible
does not talk much about Christians during this time, but from what it does
say, there are mixed emotions. Many will come to believe in Christ during a
great soul harvest. Also, many Christians will be put to death for their
beliefs. Whether they are killed early on in the Tribulation for disrespecting
the world's order and preaching or later on for not accepting the Mark of the
Beast, their death is still blessed. The Bible says that these people will be
rewarded."

Left Behind: The Kids Bio
Left Behind The Kids is the adventurous story of four kids and their race against time to tell people about the word of God. Judd Thompson, Vicki Byrne, Lionel Washington, and Ryan Daley find themselves alone after their families where taken in the rapture. They team up and create the Young Tribulation Force. With the help of friends they meet along the way, they fight against Nicolae Carpathia (the Antichrist) and his team to reach out to nonbelievers. Will they survive the mayhem of the judgments and the threats of the Global Community? How far will they go to spread the Gospel? How far would YOU go?

Left Behind Blog Post
Here is another post from the Left Behind blog a friend of mine runs. She gives a statement from the author of both Left Behind and Left Behind: The Kids about where the idea came from and a short summery of the what the books are about.
'Jerry Jenkins and Tim Lahaye, the well known authors for the Left Behind series have also written an end times fiction for teens. Left Behind the Kids revolves around a new group of believers, The Young Tribulation Force. At the core of this group are its four original members: Judd, Vicki, Lionel, and Ryan. The adults make occasional appearances in riveting series, containing forty books.
When asked about the kids series, Jenkins once said, "The idea for a kids' series based on Left Behind really came from the publisher, and at first blush it seemed to make sense. I'd written a lot of kids' fiction in the past. The idea was to not just dumb down the product so it would be easier to read, but to actually start with new main characters and have them be in the age group of the readers. So we start with 4 kids from 12 to 16. And over the period of 7 years of the Tribulation, they age by that much, of course, so it's an interesting dynamic to watch these kids grow up. They become believers early in the story, and then they have their own adventures and exciting times fighting the Antichrist while trying to keep from being exposed as believers." '

Favorite Posts from the Past
Since July of 2012, I have created 180 posts! Now, I would like to share my favorite 10 with you!
10. Cartoons! I love looking at the cartoons created for the adult version of Left Behind. The characters on them are often well known, and are shown from a popular scene in the book.
9. The Underground! In July I created my own "Underground" from present day. Obviously we wouldn't be worried about the Tribulation at this time, but what about other issues? Read "The Underground" to find out!
8. Popular Spots in Left Behind: The Kids! What are some spots the characters often visit or more than one has been to? See a few of them in this post.
7. Petra! One of the most beloved places in the book series, Petra is the place to be for Christians in danger during the Tribulation. Read a little bit about Petra's history and view pictures of the beautiful landmark in this post!
6. What are the Characters Thankful For? I love this post because it encompasses what Thanksgiving, an holiday the Young Trib Force probably celebrate, is all about.
- What is the Young Tribulation Force Thankful For?
- What is Judd Thankful For?
- What is Vicki Thankful For?
- What is Lionel Thankful For?
- What is Ryan Thankful For?
- What is Shelly Thankful For?
- What is Mark Thankful For?
- What is John Thankful For?
The 3 Day Prophecy was my personal studies on three popular prophetic events. There are many prophecies throughout the Bible, but I chose these three to study.
4. New Year! I love this post because it goes back to the first year of the Tribulation in Left Behind: The Kids. The most important events are shown in this post.
3. 20 Day Character Chart! This one took a long time. I chose twenty characters and wrote a summery of each one. Then I had a trivia question about that character at the end. And don't worry, there are no spoilers!

Happy Valentines Day!
Happy Valentines Day to all of my readers! I hope your day is filled with joy and love!
Speaking of love.....there's some romance in Left Behind: The Kids, isn't there? I know I can name a few couples! Even if they aren't married or dating, there are some characters that belong together. Here are my favorite:
Now that that sillyness is over, let me share what the true Valentine to the Young Tribulation Force members was. Jesus was their love. Because God IS love, and he loves everyone, they were in love with Him.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

President Fitzhugh
Gerald Fitzhugh is the fiction President of the United States when the Rapture happens. His wife was Raptured. When Nicolae Carpathia becomes the Secretary General of the United Nations and takes action to promote world peace, Fitzhugh is on board and agrees to help. Eventually Fitzhugh decides against Carpathia and parts ways from him. He dies eight-teen months after the Rapture (I don't believe this is mentioned in the kids series).
In the third Left Behind movie (World at War), Gerald Fitzhugh is a lead character. A big difference in the movie than in the book is that he becomes a believer before being killed. In the book he does not get saved.
*On a side note, check out the Pictures page and see the new photo's I've posted!

Superbowl
Today an American tradition will be celebrated. The 47th Superbowl! Many Americans will sit in front of a television set and watch two teams play against each other. They will enjoy food, fun, and fellowship. In football each team has a quarterback. The quarterback is one of the most important assets to the game. In Left Behind: The Kids I believe that Judd, Vicki, Lionel, Ryan, and the rest of the the Young Tribulation Force's quarterback is Jesus. Without Him they couldn't face the Tribulation, just like teams can't play the game.
In book 12 and 13 (Earthquake! and The Showdown) the kids, and all of mankind face a world-wide earthquake. While the earthquake occurs Vicki and Mrs. Jenness are driving over a bridge. As the earth shakes and Mrs. Jenness is so scared she freezes and can't move the wheel Vicki has to take over. When she reached for the wheel she relied on God to help her. As the bridge collapsed and the car fell into a river Vicki still trusted God. She knew the only way she would survive was to give this situation to God and allow him to work.
At the same time, Ryan is in Vicki's house. When the earthquake strikes a big piece of furniture falls on him. He is dying. But he doesn't rely on himself. Even though he tries his hardest to get out he knows God is there, and Ryan trusts in him. A few hours later two men come and rescue him. If Ryan didn't trust God he may have died right there on the spot. But he put his hope and trust in the Lord, and he was helped.
