Lenore Barker and Chang Wong Facts

   Lenore Barker moved in with Vicki and the Young Tribulation Force in book 19, (Attack of Apolloyn) after Janie offered it to her. She has a son, Tolan. Her husband died from hypothermia when he was looking for food for Lenore and baby Tolan. She trained to be a nurse. She and Tolan eventually left Vicki and the others and moved. She reappears in book 39 (The Road to War) and helps out members of the Young Tribulation Force.

 

 



   Chang Wong is a Chinese teenager who met Judd and Lionel by reaching out to them on the Underground website in book 28 (Mark of the Beast). He was 14 years old when the Rapture occurred. His father was an avid Carpathia follower. His sister is Ming Toy whom Judd and Vicki meet in Petra. Chang is able to work in the Global Community after something happens to him (in book 28, Mark of the Beast). He gives crucial information to both the Tribulation Force and the Young Tribulation Force. He is very good with computers and is able to access almost any information from the Global Community.

Petra

Petra plays a big role in Left Behind: The Kids. Many characters go there, because it is the safe haven. Carpathia cannot hurt them there, because God protects them. Here is some history behind the famous city.

In Petra there are hundreds of buildings, caves, and tombs. The city is very unusual because of the buildings that are cut into the mountains close to the Arabian Desert. In the sixth century B.C. Petra was a fortress and the capital of Nabataean. The Romans conquered the city of Petra in 106 A.D. Some of the people of Nabataean were experts at water technology. The Nabataeans composed tunnels and water chambers. A lot of people believe that in the Bible it talks about Petra when it says the people of God will “flee to the mountains” when it comes to the end of time. Today lots of people go to visit Petra, Jordan’s most famous tourist attraction.

Revelation Verses

Here are some of my favorite verses from Revelation:


Revelation 1:5, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood.

Revelation 3:20, Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

Revelation 20:11, Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.


And my absolute favorite...

Revelation 22:20-21, He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.


Revelation is a wonderful book from the Bible. I love reading it and learning about what will happen during the Tribulation. What is your favorite verse from the book of Revelation?

Ashley Tisdale

Here is a post from a Left Behind blog, written by my friend Rebel:

Hey guys. I know that a lot of people are not super happy that Ashley Tisdale was cast for the part of Chloe Steele. Here are some ways she is and isn't like Chloe.

• One of the biggest reasons people are upset is because they say that Chloe is a brunettes and since Ashley is a blonde, it was not going to work. But in the books, Chloe is indeed a blonde. In the first set of movies, Chloe, played by Janaya Stephens, was a brunette.
• One very small difference that really won't matter, but I thought you might like to know is that they have different eye colors. Ashley has Brown eyes, while Chloe had green. Also, in the books Chloe is 5'7", and Tisdale is reported to be only 5'3" ( said in 2006)

So, what do you guys think of Ashley Tisdale playing Chloe? Personally, I think it will be interesting to see what she has to bring to the table. She is most widely known for her part in High School Musical , as Sharpay Evens. She is a talented and well known actress, and might just add something interesting to the movie. What do you think?

Jerry Jenkins' Favorite Bible Verse

Authors of Left Behind: The Kids, Jerry B. Jenkins has  favorite Bible verses just like many of you. Here they are:

Conrad Graham

Here are some facts about the courageous Conrad Graham.

• Conrad is the brother of Taylor Graham.
• Former Morale Monitor.
• He met Lionel down South (of Mount Prospect, Illinois) before any other Young Trib Force member.
• He is around Judd and Vicki's age, but the books never give his exact age.
• First appears in book 11 (Into the Storm).
• Lionel is his best friend.

Darrion Stahley

Here are some facts about the sweet Darrion Stahley:

• Darrion met Ryan in a strangers house.
• Her father works for the Global Community, and is very rich.
• Accidentaly met Conrad Graham (I'll do facts about him tomorrow) while in jail.
• Stayed with Vicki a few years into the Tribulation.
• Darrion was around Lionel's age, maybe Vicki. She was probably 13 or 14 during the Rapture.
• She first appeared in book 9 (The Search), which is when she met Ryan.

Carl Meninger

Here are some facts about the brave Carl Meninger:

• First Appearance is in book 16 (Fire From Heaven).
• Met John Preston on the Peacekeeper 1 ship submarine.
• Mark, John's cousin, taught him about God (until he had Vicki take over).
• Carl works with the Global Community, but secretly gives the Young Trib Force information.
• He helped the Young Trib Force with a live broadcast during one of Z-Van's concerts.
• He is tall and has dark hair and dark eyes.

Sam Goldberg

Here are some facts about the beloved Sam Goldberg:

• Sam made his first appearance in book 8 (Death Strike).
• Before meeting Judd and Lionel, Sam followed Carpathia (the Anti-Christ).
• Sam's father worked for the Global Community.
• Sam is the author of the Petra Diaries.
• Sam is the main resource for the Young Tribulation Force that is in Petra.
• Lives next door to the Ben-Judah's.

There are three sets of judgements called Seals, Trumpets, and Seven Bowls of God's Wrath.

• The Seals can be found in Revelation 6 and Revelation 8. There are seven judgements. These are the first set of the judgements.

• The Trumpets can be found in Revelation 8 and Revelation 9. There are seven judgements. These are the second set of judgements. The Trumpets will be worse than the Seals.

• The Seven Bowls of God's Wrath can be found in Revelation 16. There are seven judgements. These are the third, and final set of judgements. The Seven Bowls of God's Wrath will be worse than the judgements before.

Kids and Adults

How are the kids (Judd, Vicki, Lionel, and Ryan) connected to the adults (Rayford, Buck, Chloe, and Bruce)? Let's take a look at that!

Judd. When Judd was flying to England he was on the plane Rayford was flying. Judd went to the same church as Bruce.

Vicki. Bruce preached to the trailor park Vicki lived in.

Lionel. (As of now I cannot recall Lionel knowing any of the adults)

Ryan. Ryan's best friend is Raymie, who is the son of Rayford and the brother of Chloe. When Chloe marries Buck, Buck becomes Raymie's brother-in-law

Tim Lahaye

One of the three authors of Left Behind: The Kids is Tim Lahaye. Jerry Jenkins and him wrote Left Behind. When they got such a good response from Left Behind the decided to write Left Behind: The Kids.
