Buck Williams Article

As the book mentions, Buck Williams was a journalist for Global Weekly before the Rapture. Later on, he wrote "The Truth," which were a newspaper-like articles about the Tribulation. A fellow blogger wrote an excerpt of Buck's article when he worked for Global Weekly. Here it is:

"Many are looking for the cause behind the world wide disappearances. One personal said “This is nothing more than Karma; the bad people have gotten their due. We, the good in heart, shall stay and remain and live in harmony.” Not all believe that though. One source believes that aliens are to blame. “Aliens, not those little green people, no sophisticated ones, with weapons, and nuclear. They sought out those with a common factor. Maybe it was blood type, or it was IQ. Why the babies were taken, well I guess we can never know. Maybe they were taken for servants of the aliens. “
Another recourse believes that Christ Jesus has come back for his own. “It was the Rapture” he says “Christ came back for the Christians. The small children were taken because they are too young to understand. What comes next is a hard time. An evil leader will rise, and there will be seven years of pain and death. We must all believe in Christ, it is our only hope.” That man’s wife also believed that, and she disappeared.
All know that Nicolae Carpathia, and his crew believe that is was nuclear radiation. And that merely the bad are gone now, and we shall have a peaceful time now that they are gone. They have told us that we have nothing to worry about.
Many people believe that it was merely a wiping away of the bad people, but weather there will be more to disappear, we do not know. What comes next is also unknown, but for now we must all band together and be strong."

Left Behind Blog: Character Profile

In past posts I have shown posts from my friends blog, Left Behind, which is based on the adult series. Here is part 2 of her 2-part series.

"Cameron Williams, also called "Buck", since he is known to Buck authority, is the youngest Senior Writer for the Global Weekly magazine. Studying at the Ivy Leagues, he always strives to make it big. He went to church as a child, but wouldn't go as far to say that he is a Christian.

"In the first set of movies, the character of Buck is changed from a writing journalist to an on air broadcaster. Buck is portrayed by Kirk Cameron and the role was bumped from second most importance to first, changing the way of the book which placed Rayford as the main protagonist. In the remake, Williams will be played by Chad Michael Murray."

Left Behind Blog: Character Profile

In past posts I have shown posts from my friends blog, Left Behind, which is based on the adult series. Here is part 1 to her 2-part post.

He has two children, Raymie and Chloe. His wife, whom disappears in the Rapture, is named Irene. His second wife's name is Amanda, whom he marries after the Rapture. Ray is one of the original members of the Tribulation Force.

"In the first set of Left Behind movies, Ray was played by Brad Strong and his character was lowered from first most importance to second. In the remakes, Steele will be played by Nicholas Cage."

Perta

Petra plays a big role in Left Behind: The Kids. Many characters go there, because it is the safe haven. Carpathia cannot hurt them there, because God protects them. Here is some history behind the famous city.

In Petra there are hundreds of buildings, caves, and tombs. The city is very unusual because of the buildings that are cut into the mountains close to the Arabian Desert. In the sixth century B.C. Petra was a fortress and the capital of Nabataean. The Romans conquered the city of Petra in 106 A.D. Some of the people of Nabataean were experts at water technology. The Nabataeans composed tunnels and water chambers. A lot of people believe that in the Bible it talks about Petra when it says the people of God will “flee to the mountains” when it comes to the end of time. Today lots of people go to visit Petra, Jordan’s most famous tourist attraction.
