Venice, A Passenger

Actress Georgina Rowlings will play a passenger on Pan Con 257, the plane Rayford Steele pilots, in Left Behind: The Movie Remake. Born and raised in Britian, her family has always had an interest in the film industry. She is no stranger to acting, and has been in many films.

The actor to play Bruce Barnes in the remake of Left Behind: The Movie has been chosen. Lance Nichols, from New Orleans, Louisiana will play Bruce Barnes. At 58 years old, he has been in and guest starred in over 75 television shows.

Simon the Cameraman

Standing at 6 feet, 8 inches, Quinton Aaron, who is known for his role in "The Blind Side," will be joining the cast in Left Behind: The Movie Remake. He will be playing the role of a cameraman named Simon who is flying on the Pan Con plane with Buck Williams (Chad Michael Murray), Rayford Steele (Nicolas Cage), Hattie Durham (Nicky Whelan), and Sashta (Jordin Sparks).

 

 

 



Fun Fact!

Originally, Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins were planning on writing 48 books for the series. Although, as we know, only 40 books were published. The extra eight books were going to fill in the two year gap that is in the series. The books still turned out really well though!

For Left Behind: The Movie Remake, a Raymie Steele has been chosen! 10 year old Major Dodson has been picked for the role. Raymie Steele is the son of Rayford Steele (Nicolas Cage), Irene Steele, and the sister of Chloe Steele (Cassi Thomson).

Airplane Passenger

Here's another casting announcement! Actress/singer Jordin Sparks will have a role in the Left Behind movie remake.

Producer Paul Lalonde says, "She will be a passenger on a plane that the film’s main character Captain Rayford Steele (Nicolas Cage) is piloting." Jordin Sparks character's name is Shasta. No other information has been given.

Filming Begins

Today, August 5th, filming for Left Behind: The Movie Remake begins! Let's take a look back and see where it all began...


FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT:

 According to Cloud Ten Pictures, "Left Behind The Movie: The Remake" is being made. There are already three Left Behind movies, but now Cloud Ten Pictures wants to remake the movies on a bigger budget. The original movies are called “Left Behind: The Movie,” “Left Behind II: Tribulation Force,” and “Left Behind: World at War.” For the first movies, there was a $4 million budget. But now, Cloud Ten Pictures is aiming for a $15 million budget. They were hoping to begin shooting in late 2011. But, because of the absence of a director, they were not able to begin shooting until 2012. Cloud Ten Pictures have not released much information about the cast, but they did say they are not bringing back the original actors. A release date has not been determined.

Original Young Trib Force Members

Judd, Vicki, Lionel, and Ryan began it all! Let's look at a little information on each of them.

Judd Thompson

 

   Before the disappearances Judd stole his dad’s credit card and ran away to England. Well, at least he tried. That’s when Jesus came back, and half the people on the plane disappeared. Judd met the original members of the Young Trib Force at New Hope Village Church the day of the rapture. He is a leader. He’s the oldest original member of the group. His best friend goes between Vicki and Lionel, depending on where he is in the books. For more information follow this link to find out more about him.

Vicki Byrne

 

   Vicki’s family lived in a trailer park. Vicki always thought since she lived there, other people didn’t think she was good enough. She was rebellious. She would sneak out and go drinking and smoking with friends, then sneak back home while everyone was sleeping. She was out with her friend when the disappearances occurred. She came home to only the clothes of her family. Vicki’s best friend was Shelly Brown for most of the series. To find out more on Vicki follow this link to an old post from the blog.

 

Lionel Washington

 

   Lionel had two sisters and a brother. His parents raised their kids to love Jesus and have a relationship with Him. Lionel had other ideas. He preferred spending time with his Uncle, Andre, who was really “cool.” Andre spent his time partying, drinking, and taking drugs. Lionel didn’t want to become addicted to drugs or anything, but he wanted to have the freedom Andre had. At home though, he would act like a “good” boy. He pretended to love God. When everyone in church service stood up to sing, he would join. He had everyone fooled…until they were raptured, and he wasn’t. At the beginning of the series his best friend is Ryan. Ryan Daley

 

   Unlike the other kids, Ryan didn’t grow up in a Christian home. His parents didn’t like it when Ryan had questions about God, and they never taught him anything. His best friend Raymie Steele however, tried to teach him about Jesus. Ryan wasn’t very interested. He live a pretty ‘normal’ life for the most part. That is, until millions of people worldwide disappeared in thin air, leaving nothing but their clothes behind. Ryan was scared and went to find Raymie, who had also disappeared. “Is this what Raymie was saying all along,” he thought. “Did Jesus come back?” To learn more about Ryan follow this link to an old blog post.
