Halloween

Today is Halloween. Many Christians do not celebrate this holiday because they feel it is focused on Satan. I personally do not celebrate Halloween, but I don't mind when others do. Many people chose to celebrate Halloween as a time of dressing up and going trick-or-treating. I used to do that when I was younger. Tonight if you are celebrating Halloween, make sure it isn't to glorify Satan. We should do everything to glorify God. Philippians 2:11, "And every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

1 Peter 5:8-9, Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.  Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

Just for fun I decided to chose a costume that I think the original members of the Young Tribulation Force would wear!

Judd
I think Judd would be a knight

Vicki
I think Vicki would be Snow White

Lionel
I think Lionel would be a pirate

Ryan
I think Ryan would be Spiderman

What do you think the Young Tribulation Force would dress up as?

Teens to Adults

When the authors of Left Behind: The Kids were writing the books, they originally had in mind that the book series would be for teenagers and young adults. Specifically 12-14 years old. But now the series is being read by many adults as well!

Speaking of "Teens to Adults," Judd, Vicki, Lionel, and Ryan would all be adults by the end of the Tribulation. If all of them make it through the whole Tribulation, their ages would go as follows:

Judd - 16 - 23
Vicki - 14 - 21
Lionel - 13 - 20
Ryan - 12 - 19

It's hard to imagine them all being adults by the end of the series!

Fan Fiction

There is a Left Behind fan fiction website where fans of both the adult and kids series can put their own twist on a Left Behind story. A friend of mine and the writer of the blogs The Tribulation and Left Behind has written her own fan fiction story based off of Book 38, Perils of Love. Follow this link to read it. WARNING! There are spoilers if you have not read Perils of Love yet.

Bible Verse

Matthew 24:36, "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

I love this verse because it is telling us that only God knows when Jesus is coming, so do not be deceived. Matthew 24 is a great chapter. It discusses prophecy and the rapture. In past posts I have shown you prophecy in Matthew 24. Here are the links: Prophecy 1 and Prophecy 2.
