Lake of Fire

In Revelation 20 it talks about Satan's Doom. (I have already posted about Satan's Doom. Follow this link to read more about it.) What I didn't mention before is what happens to the people who die before the rapture. Revelation 20 also has information on what happens to them. Specifically the ones who were not believers. We are taught that those who die and are not believers in Christ go to Hell. That is true, but they do not get there right away.

Matthew 11:23 says, "And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades." Luke 10:15 says the same thing.

Revelation 20:13 says, "The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done."

When people who are not believers in Jesus as the Messiah die they go to Hades. Hades is not too different then Hell (I'll explain what Hell is later on). Hades is a place of devastation, destruction, and suffering. Trust me, you do NOT want to go to Hades.

After Satan is defeated by God when the millennium is over, Satan, the False Prophet, and all of the nonbelievers will be thrown in the lake of fire, which is Hell.

Revelation 20:14 says, "Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death."

The biggest difference between Hades and Hell is, Hades is a temporary place of suffering and being separated from God. Hell is an eternal place of suffering and being separated from God.

Once someone is in Hades, they will one day go to Hell, there is no backing out. But, there is a prevent going to both Hades and Hell. Believe that Jesus is the Messiah, and that he died on the cross to save you from your sins. And ask God to forgive you of your sins, and to come into your heart. If you are not positive you will go to Heaven when you die, or your scared you might go to Hell when you die, e-mail me at leftbehindthekids.me@gmail.com, and I will try to answer any questions you have.

Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
Psalm 148:13
